Artefact (2)
A page of written Information in Human language is to an Alien simply an abstract ornament, in the same way as to Human ears sounds AAAArtefact as “music” or aesthetic sound-work. Both might carry the meaning in fundamentally different ways.

Dear entity FdW,
after some period of time of “reflection” and further experimentation, I
have concluded that it is still very difficult to form “words” which would reflect my experience in meaningful way comprehensible to humans. Your note about “your lingo” (as your personal language?) doesn't actually say if you understand or not the meaning of text (*). If not, I may try to explain better. If yes, would you be able kindly assistand help to translate “it” in your “language” please? I would be very grateful. I can assure you, that my intentions are focused on mutual understanding.
I hope to hear from you again!
However feel free, please, no pressure whatsoever!
Kind regards!

ALFA00_AAZINE - AAAUDIO-ARTEFACT (CDR, private)
A few weeks ago I encountered Slavek Kwi's new project Alfa00 for the first time and learned there was something like 298 hour work by him, of which that CDR was an off shoot. Vital Weekly 1289 was published on June 14, 2021, and five days later, at 7:40 pm,
Kwi sat down to record the pieces on this new CDR, which is to be understood as a reaction to the review and hence dedicated to FdW, which by no means is to say that I will treat it differently. It is a different kind of release than the one from last month, in that respect that this one contains eight pieces, which are quite different. Kwi wrote a cryptic note that I quote in full: "imagine AbstractAlienAudioArtefact resemblant to Human concept of “music/sound”, but which is Another - entirely different carrier of “information” similar to Human understanding of “meaning” based on different paradigm and perception of the “Reality”. Imagine Alternative Universe were “understanding” is not reduced to “thinking” only, but whole “sensorial experience” is considered in its entirety equally: preserving it's potential free." That is not my kind of lingo. --- Will this provoke another reaction? I'll let you know in a month or so.

Selections from the process:
Recording from 17/7/2021 is immediate response to last VW review, recording from 22/7/2021 is reaction [in variety of versions] after a few days of assimilation of conveyed information and finally, some recordings from 15/1 and 16/1/2022 are original tracks used for construction of final artefact AAudioZine in the form of CD.

To be honest: this becomes too meta for me. Along with this CDR came a Xerox referring to a previous review I wrote in Vital Weekly 1293, which referenced an earlier, in 1289. The review is not quoted in full. The text on this new release comes with a question for me. Or possibly two questions. I let these go unanswered. And yes, I am aware that the previous review ended with "Will this provoke another reaction? I'll let you know in a month or so" - six months, so I must admit I feel out of the loop. Please address me straight away if something is unclear, not six months later, with another cryptic note and another release. Which, come to think of it, is this for review at all? Years ago, pranksters thought it funny to send me cryptic releases, no information, no text, and oh boy, let's see what FdW comes up now. Vital Weekly, at one point, carried a note, saying we couldn't be bothered with jokes. That is not to say this is a joke, far from it. The music on this CDR contains two pieces of real-time processing of outdoor sound events. It all spans another 80 minutes of music, which you can use to contemplate the text on the cover; it is also on Bandcamp. I decided to ignore all the discussion, if ever there was one, ignore my headache thinking about all the metatalk, the communication via the cover of a CD, just enjoy the music while reading a book. If this raises more questions, please email me at
vital@vitalweekly.net and via another piece of music to review. (FdW)
